On Saturday, Amma Charitable Trust and Ankajosyulapalem Youth distributed 13 essential items to underprivileged families facing financial difficulties due to COVID-19 in Ankajosyulapalem village, located near Krishnarayudupeta Panchayat, Vepada Mandal. The initiative received financial support from the Janmabhoomi Organization (U.S.A).
Komati Jayaram, Founder and CEO of Janmabhoomi Organization, who resides in the USA, recognized the hardships faced by the villagers and generously provided the supplies.
Trust Chairman Gompa Venkata Rao extended special thanks to the Janmabhoomi (USA) team, Komati Jayaram (CEO), and Gokul Rachiraju (Director) for their valuable support.
Trust Vice Chairman S. Arjuna, Secretary S. Achibabu, Sureddi Baburao Master, Ankajosyulapalem Youth, and local residents also took part in the event.
Gomp Venkata Rao, Chairman of Amma Charitable Trust, said receiving the Pratibha Puraskar increased their commitment to service. With support from Shankar Foundation Eye Hospital, the trust won first place for free eye camps in rural Visakhapatnam in 2023–2024. They received the “Vishishta Seva Puraskar,” presented by Trustee A. Krishnakumar and GM Radhakrishnan.
Around 200 elderly people had their vision restored through surgeries. The trust plans to expand services to help more in remote villages.
Amma Charitable Trust thanked Shankar Foundation for the honor. Representatives including Jureddi Divakar and others attended the supporters’ meet.
On Ambedkar Jayanti, Union Bank honored Amma Charitable Trust with an Appreciation Award for its outstanding services in rural and urban areas during 2024–25. Trust Executive Member Doga Yeruka Naidu and Jureddi Divakar received the award from Union Bank Zonal Head Ms. Shalini.
For over 12 years, the trust has conducted free eye camps, led blood donation drives, distributed study materials, and provided scholarships across rural, tribal, and urban communities.
Union Bank of India – Visakhapatnam District acknowledged these efforts and congratulated the entire team. Trust representatives, including IT Manager Jureddi Divakar, actively joined the event.
SPECT Charity awarded the Savitribai Phule Puraskar to Amma Charitable Trust in recognition of its consistent and commendable efforts in the field of social welfare. The award celebrates the trust’s dedicated work in empowering marginalized communities, promoting girls’ education, and improving access to essential resources in rural and tribal areas.
For years, Amma Charitable Trust has led numerous initiatives including free eye camps, blood donation drives, scholarship programs, and the distribution of educational materials in government schools. This recognition from SPECT Charity highlights the trust’s unwavering commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable society.

On World NGO Day, GVMC Mayor Smt. Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari Garu honored Amma Charitable Trust for its dedicated service across rural, tribal, and urban communities. For over a decade, the trust has organized free eye camps, conducted blood donation drives, distributed study materials, and offered scholarships to underprivileged students.
